Takumi Endo and Martin Riches // Off the Wall
This unusual project involve writing a computer program that could analyze sound files, extract their essential information, and then convert it into a DXF file, so that the sound could be milled into a piece of plastic as a series of verticle lines. Similar to how a record player works, anything gliding along that series of lines would reproduce the recorded sound. In this case it was a cart, which rode along the a wall, playing a recorded voice as it moved along the recording strip.
